Congratulations Graham!

This month saw the end of a great summer of track racing at Preston Park Velodrome. Sussex Cycling Racling League run an 18 week season of varied races for all age groups and abilities.

Most Wednesdays saw a good representation of Nomads competing on the track in the Senior Leagues, with Alex, Peter, Howard, Sally & James all scoring League points. This year Nomad Graham Rees topped the league in the Senior C Category in his first year of racing!

Hopefully next year will see more Nomads get their accreditation to race track bikes (a fun few hours with coaches getting you used to having no gears and no brakes) and we’ll have another successful year.

If you’re feeling inspired and fancy taking part next year, the accreditation sessions are run regularly through the year so keep an eye out on the WhatsApp channels for when one is coming up. Coach Pete also organised a recent trip up to the Olympic Velodrome at Lee Valley so you can test yourself on the same boards as the pros.
