Nomads in Norway
July saw Pete returning to Norway with another bunch of Nomads in tow - this time they were heading North to take on the fearsome Trollstigen (Troll’s Ladder) - an iconic climb in the Romsdalen valley in the West of Norway.
Cycling Trollstigen offers a breathtaking but challenging experience, featuring 11 hairpin turns, stunning waterfalls, and steep gradients up to 10%! The road is known for its exceptionally smooth tarmac, making for a pleasant climbing surface despite potential hazards like rockfalls and traffic. While the climb is long, the rewards are incredible views and a famous landmark that is a true symbol of Norwegian natural beauty and engineering.
